Haha, Bullish.
The second "Most Wanted" poll is already over. I'll be sharing the curated results and my analysis later today or tomorrow.
Running these first two polls has been a massive learning experience. It's shown us that community-driven demand is a real force for onboarding.
Now, it's time to iterate on the concept.
Instead of another "who to onboard" poll, the next one will be a Roadmap Poll. I want to turn this tool inward and get a clear, data-driven signal on what features you all want to see prioritized. Right now, my roadmap is a mix of DMs, comments, and gut feel. This poll will give the community a direct voice.
We'll be running this as a @dau task again, but with a key change: I'll be significantly reducing the reward amount. The goal of this next phase isn't to maximize claims, but to maximize the quality of the signal we receive from genuine users.
Building, learning, repeat. Thanks for being a part of it.
gm. Today is a shipping day.
I'm expecting to push a major update to Reply later today that addresses some of the biggest pieces of feedback you've all given me.
What's coming:
• Reworked Chat Logic: Time to move away from the disconnected "thread-style" DMs. The new system will feature a single, unified chat for each person, just like you'd expect.
• The Foundation for Group Chats: This new chat architecture paves the way for the multi-person group chat feature.
• The First Version of AMAs: The next major feature for Reply will be live for you to start testing.
This is a big one, focused on making the core experience more intuitive and powerful. Will post again once it's live.
And to expand on that thought, here's how I see this "Group Chat" primitive working not just for us, but for the entire creator economy.
The explosion of creator coins on platforms like @zora is incredible, but it's also created a massive need for real utility. I've seen builders like @kylepatrick.eth, @coopahtroopa.eth and many others talking about this exact problem: how do we give these new tokens a purpose beyond speculation?
This is where the infrastructure in Reply can come in.
The vision is simple and powerful: Any creator or KOL can spin up a token-gated group chat in just a few taps. They set the gate for example, "must hold 100k $KYLE coin" and that's it.
Inside the chat, messages are free. It functions just like a normal group chat, but with a built-in, automated "bouncer" that continuously checks if members hold the required token amount to remain in the group. No more manual invite links or complex bot setups.
This creates two distinct but complementary communication channels for every creator, all managed within one app:
• The Group Chat: A semi-public "inner circle" for their most dedicated supporters and token-holders.
• The Paid DM: A private, 1:1 line for high-stakes, specific questions that require personal attention.
It's about giving creators the tools to manage their community at different levels of intimacy and signal. This feels like a fundamental building block for the on-chain creator economy.
gm.
A few people, including @juli, have asked about creating an official group chat for Reply's core supporters.
Honestly, I've been hesitant. My biggest fear is creating a space that devolves into just price talk. That would drain energy and distract from the real mission of building a useful product. My time is best spent in the code, not moderating a chat all day.
But I can't ignore the other side of the coin. The amount of brilliant feedback, feature ideas, and strategic insights I get from this community is incredible. A dedicated space for the true believers to connect and brainstorm could be a superpower for the project.
This brings me back to an idea that's been on the long-term roadmap for a while: token-gated group chats built directly into Reply.
I'd always thought of this as a feature for other communities to use. But this recent feedback makes me think the first and most important use case should be for our own.
This feels right. We would be eating our own dog food - using our own future product to build our own community. It would keep the conversation focused within the context of the app we're all building together.
This moves the "Group Chat" feature much higher up my priority list. I'm still focused on the AMA flow first, but this feels like the clear next step.
Curious to hear your thoughts. Does this feel like the right way to build our community hub?
Love to see this data from @tomu.
The mindshare growth has been incredible, fueled by the community's support and our new partnership with the @dau team.
It's amazing to see the whole ecosystem building together. Great work on @checkr!
The @dau partnership is a rocket ship.
In the 8 hours since the new "Vote on Reply Polls" task went live, the Reply mini-app has jumped from #121 to #56 on the leaderboard.
This is the positive-sum flywheel in action: a real incentive driving users to a valuable onchain action, resulting in explosive, measurable growth.
A huge thank you to the @dau team for building an incredible growth engine, and to the entire community for participating. This is how we grow together.
The hotfix is live. The transaction issues should now be resolved.
I want to be transparent about what happened and what I fixed:
• The "Token Allowance" Error: This was a classic race condition. The app was trying to vote before the network had fully processed the "approve" transaction. I've added a smarter check to prevent this.
• The "Wallet Not Found" Error: This was my fault. I had a security check that was too strict, requiring you to vote with your primary Farcaster wallet. I've removed this check, so you can now vote with any wallet you have connected to the app.
Thank you for your patience and for the incredibly helpful bug reports. A smooth, multi-wallet experience is a top priority, and your feedback helped me get this shipped quickly.
The app should feel much more reliable now.
gm. Quick transparency update on the app's stability.
I'm aware of an issue causing some transactions to fail and others to display an incorrect state after succeeding.
I've investigated the cause and am deploying a hotfix probably rn. Thank you for your bug reports, they are incredibly helpful.
And that's a wrap on a huge day. The @dau partnership is officially live.
Taking a quick snapshot of the Reply app rank before I head to sleep. This is our starting line.
My only request to the community: please be gentle with the servers tonight. Haha, hope they're still live in the morning.
Let's see what this number looks like when I wake up.
gn.
And we're live!
I'm so incredibly hyped about this partnership with @flynn.eth @whatsthedeetz @mattie and the @dau team. We went from an idea to a live, onchain, co-created feature in just a few days.
This is what building on Farcaster is all about.
My favorite part is that this isn't just a marketing campaign, it's a permanent, useful feature for the community. Go try it out and let me know what you think.

Today is the day!
This means a lot coming from you, man. Respect.
The "oscillation" is real, but it's all worth it when you're building in an ecosystem with people like you.
Speaking of which, I'm honored to have the @tipn team officially listed in Reply. Now there's a clear, high-signal way for the community to connect with one of the most respected build teams on Farcaster.
This is what it's all about.
A quick note on the new Onchain Polls and our upcoming @dau partnership.
To vote in the poll, it costs 100k $REPLY (currently ~$0.13). This is to prevent spam.
Starting this Monday, the official DAU task will be to vote in this poll. The reward for completing the task will be ~120k $REPLY.
We're experimenting with this small positive EV to reward real users, and will monitor it closely for bots.
What this means for you: If you vote this weekend before the campaign starts, make sure to visit the @dau app on Monday to claim your reward! It's a bit of a pre-game opportunity.
So hyped to finally get this out the door.
The onchain polling system was a huge lift, but it was essential to make it a high-integrity, bot-resistant feature. The in-app swap was a last-minute addition because I knew the user experience would be terrible without it.
This is a huge step towards making Reply a core piece of Farcaster's social infrastructure.
A massive thank you to the @dau team for the brainstorming that led to this, and to the entire community for your patience and feedback.
gm.
It's done.
After a marathon weekend of coding, the biggest update to Reply since launch is finally live. I poured everything I had into this one to get it right.
The official announcement with the full changelog is coming from @replyfarcaster in a few minutes.
For those wondering where the big update is, here's a transparent look at what I'm working on right now.
I'm stress-testing the new in-app swap. I need to ensure it works perfectly whether you're swapping for $REPLY to vote in a poll, or swapping for any other token to send a DM.
It's the final piece of the puzzle before I can deploy. I'm committed to getting this live today, but only when it's 100% ready.
Appreciate your patience.
gm.
It's shipping day.
Back to the code to finish everything.
And that's a wrap on a long day of coding. I have a big progress update on the new onchain polling feature.
The smart contract for the polls has been successfully deployed and tested. I've also integrated and tested the core voting logic within the Reply app itself.
However, as I was building, I realized two things:
- The "Smart Suggestions" logic needs more polish before it's ready. I'm not going to ship it half-baked.
- Asking you to vote with $REPLY without an easy way to get it is a huge user pain point.
So, I've made a decision: I'm also adding an in-app swap for $REPLY to this update.
It's late now, and I want to be 100% sure everything is smooth and bug-free. So, I'll be finishing up the final polish and the swap feature tomorrow morning.
The plan is to ship the complete, polished update tomorrow, ready for the @dau campaign to kick off on Monday.
Thanks for your patience. Prioritizing a great experience over a rushed deadline.
p.s. Reply app is working.
gn.
Quick heads-up: I'm shipping the new "Most Wanted" user polls.
The app will be unavailable for some time while I deploy and run final tests.
Back soon with the update.
